
Meet Me!
Hi, I’m Angela: the baker, gardener, and creator behind Akin’s Farm and Garden. I’ve always loved all things outdoors, from gardening and hiking to growing fresh herbs in my hydroponic garden. Many of the herbs I grow are dried and turned into homemade herbal salts or used in my cooking and baking.
Baking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom made wedding and birthday cakes while I was growing up, and she passed down a lot of what I know today.
I later worked at a bakery during college, but some of my favorite moments have simply been baking for friends and family,… whether for birthdays, celebrations, or just because.
Fresh breads, cupcakes, and cookie cakes are some of my favorite things to make, and while I firmly believe there’s no such thing as too much frosting, I try to keep it balanced for everyone else!
When I’m not baking, you can usually find me working in finance (my “full time” gig), spending time with my husband and our dog Mango, reading a good book, exploring the outdoors, or trying something new. Akin’s Farm and Garden is a little piece of everything I love: homemade treats, fresh ingredients, creativity, gardening, and sharing joy with others.
One of these days, I hope to expand this business to more than just baking and would love to tap into more homegrown produce and goods. For now, I’m loving every moment of this season!
